About Ben Katene

Ben Katene founded Haven Constructions QLD with a simple belief: building or renovating your home should be a positive experience, not a stressful one. That belief comes from over a decade of experience working every level of the construction industry.

He started on the tools as a carpenter — learning the craft from the ground up. After years in the trade, he moved into site supervision on custom homes, where he developed a deep understanding of how great builds are managed and coordinated. He then went on to obtain his low-rise builder's licence.

That journey — from hands-on tradesperson to licensed builder — means Ben doesn't just manage projects from an office. He understands the work, knows what quality looks like on the ground, and holds his team to the same standard he set for himself.

Today, Haven Constructions QLD handles custom homes, renovations, extensions, outdoor living spaces, and commercial builds across the Gold Coast. Ben personally oversees every project — which means clients always have a direct line to the person responsible.
